Traineeship Support Worker

How Does a Traineeship Work?

You will be engaged on a full-time or part-time employment contract by Community Vision. All the hours worked under your contract will be paid as per the award rate and you will learn valuable skills on the job in your capacity as a Trainee Support Worker. 

As part of your traineeship, you will attend classes (in person or online) where you will work your way through the CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support curriculum. 

You will be supported every step of the way by Community Vision, our Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider and preferred RTO . On successful completion, you will be awarded your nationally recognised qualification and will be ready for a career as a Support Worker in your chosen field!

About you

To be considered for this role must meet the following requirements and will be required to provide evidence prior to commencement:

  • Completed year 12 or equivalent 
  • Be over the age of 18
  • Be eligible to work, study and complete a traineeship program with us
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months)
  • Have a valid Working with Children Check card
  • Have an influenza vaccination prior to commencing your traineeship
  • Have a recent Basic First Aid Certificate
  • Have a valid WA Driver's License
