We are currently seeking two highly qualified French Language Instructors to support the delivery of the French Joint Tactical Interaction (JTI) Course at the Defence Force School of Languages (DFSL)
Position Details Location: Defence Force School of Languages (DFSL), RAAF Williams, Laverton VIC
Course Period: 7 October 2026 to 4 December 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Number of Positions: 2
Successful candidates will work under the guidance and supervision of DFSL staff to deliver French language training to Australian Defence Force personnel.
About the Role
The French Joint Tactical Interaction Course prepares Defence personnel to communicate effectively with partner forces and local populations during international engagement activities, including combined exercises, training activities, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief operations.
The successful instructor will contribute to the delivery of high-quality language and intercultural training, helping Defence personnel build practical communication skills in operational environments

Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Police Check and comply with Defence induction and training requirements.
Rates of pay will be commensurate with your relevant experience, and your employment will be on a casual contract basis with Fortis Consulting, who will hold the contract for this course if we are successful.
